CME/CPD Data & Attendance Policy

1. Introduction

Many of the conferences and events Eventology provides registration, badge, and access control technology for are medical or professional events where attendees seek Continuing Medical Education (CME) or Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credit, including credit accredited by international bodies. This page explains Eventology's role in supporting that process and how we handle related attendance data.

2. Our Role

Eventology is a technology and operations provider, not a CME/CPD accrediting body. Accreditation of an event — whether through the Jordan Medical Council or an international accreditor such as EACCME or an equivalent recognized body — is obtained and managed by the event organizer or the relevant medical/professional society, not by Eventology. Our role is limited to supplying the registration, access control, and attendance-tracking infrastructure that organizers may rely on to support their own accreditation and credit-issuance processes.

3. Attendance Data We Can Provide

Depending on the systems deployed for a given event, our platform can capture and provide organizers with: check-in and check-out timestamps, session-level or zone-based attendance records, badge scan logs at access control points, and attendance duration data. This data is designed to support organizers who need to verify attendance for CME/CPD credit purposes, including credit systems that require proof of actual participation time rather than simple registration.

4. Certificates and Credit Determinations

Where our platform includes a certificate-generation feature, certificates are issued based on criteria and templates defined by the event organizer. Eventology does not determine CME/CPD credit values, eligibility criteria, or accreditation status — these determinations remain the responsibility of the organizer and their accrediting body.

5. Data Accuracy and Limitations

While we take reasonable measures to ensure attendance data is captured accurately, organizers relying on this data for accreditation purposes are responsible for verifying it meets the specific requirements of their chosen accrediting body before issuing credit.

6. Data Handling

Attendance and registration data collected for CME/CPD-related events is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our Jordan Data Protection Notice and GDPR Compliance pages. As with all event data, it is used solely for event-related purposes and securely purged after final reporting, consistent with our standard data retention practices.
